Heal your spirit with a visit to the Servants of Mary Chapel. SCL also offers regular workshops around complementary healing modalities, herbal study, and massage.

Hospitality
Meeting rooms are available. Hold your company’s next meeting in peaceful surroundings. Call for information or to make arrangements.

Inspiration
Further your spiritual journey with spirituality, wellness, or children’s books, relaxation tapes and CDs available in our gift shop (more info in right column).

Check out the spiritual and religious books and materials in the library, open for your use Monday-Friday 8:00 am– 4:30 pm, or by appointment.

Nature

Celebrate the change of seasons. Watch for the dates and events to celebrate the passing and welcome the entering of each new season.

Peace
SCL provides a sanctuary from the agitation and anxiety that daily life often brings. Make a one-day retreat either directed or self-directed to cleanse your inner self and restore peace within.

Prayer
Join the sisters for prayer in the welcoming worship space of their chapel. Hours may vary; call for times.

Respect
We promote holistic living and model stewardship of the earth and its resources.

 

Highlights

Chapel
The Servants of Mary Chapel provides a welcomingChapel window space for personal reflection and prayer. Glass, Wood, and Bronze designs by artist Jerry Krauski (Liturgical Environments) contribute to the feel of warmth, peace and light as one enters the chapel. Guests are welcome to join community gatherings for Eucharist, Liturgy of Hours, and other services.

Gift Shop
This lovely shop provides guests with a place to purchase books, cards, religious articles and a variety of gift items. With self service, it is open 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday, or by appointment.

Healing Garden
The healing garden is a special place for prayer, reflection, and inner healing. Reflecting by healing gardenThe spiral shape of the garden creates a feeling of enclosure and intimacy while allowing views to the wider landscape and the river beyond. The garden is planted with medicinal herbs of various colors, texures, and scents.

Labyrinth
Walking the circular, sacred path of the labyrinth leads one to discover interior peace. The Labyrinth is available for walking prayer and meditation at any time.

Mary's Garden
A beautiful array of plants and flowers surrounding the image of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, welcomes visitors to the Servite Center for Life.

Meeting Rooms
Space is available for small group meetings up to thirty people. For reservation and rates email, contact SCL.

Peace Pole

Wildscape
The back hillside, in view of the Flambeau River, was sown with seeds of a variety of wild plants and flowers as a tribute to natures’ beauty and sound environmental management.
