Experience a Fall Renewal

The ripening red of tomatoes on the vine and the brilliant colors of gladiolas which delight the eye become reminders that summer days are coming to a close as harvest time arrives.

The beauty of our grounds have been a renewal of the spirit for our summer visitors. Healing gardenOn June 8 a celebration of the 775th Anniversary of the Order of Servants of Mary brought over one hundred visitors to tour the building and grounds. Many appreciative comments were received.

Visitors are encouraged to come and enjoy the beauty of the fall days and spend some time of reflection walking the labyrinth, visiting the small outdoor chapel and healing garden, and spending quiet time at the Medicine Wheel.

After a summer of fewer programs taking place, we are looking forward to the coming activities and events scheduled for the next three months.

Throughout the summer requests for prayer shawls have continued. KnittersAs our Knit, Purl, Crochet, Pray group resumes meetings in September, we will have plenty of work to do in replenishing our shawl supply. We welcome and encourage new members to join us in this ministry of bringing comfort and joy to others through the creative work of our hands.

Preserving the beauty of our earth and a healthful environment are constant concerns at SCL. Our session on creative use of plastic bags hopefully will prevent many bags from polluting our environment and endangering our wildlife. Come be a part of this group.Knitters

Spiritual renewal is a desire of many in our culture today as we face difficult problems and a need for visionary solutions. The sessions on healing taking place on October 16, and the series on reflection and discussion, Saving Jesus, will provide opportunities for such renewal and sharing of ideas and personal experiences.

Come, be a part of these and other SCL programs this fall. We look forward to having you present with us.
